Kim DuTremaine holds a masters degree in Social Work (Community and Administrative Practice) and an associates in Substance Abuse Studies. She enjoys developing new programs and working with non-profit organizations via grant writing and agency development. She was instrumental in the development and initial organization of Masada House, a transitional living facility for women in recovery. Kim has worked in the field of addictions since 1999 in several settings to include outpatient, intensive outpatient and residential treatment. She worked with CYFD-PS for 5 years where she assisted families in reunifying with their children, and as a regional supervisor assisting five NW counties with their most difficult cases. Kim holds licenses in clinical counseling (LCSW) and addictions (LADAC) and is designated as a substance abuse professional (SAP) for DOT Safety Sensitive Return to Duty. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and enjoys working with complex trauma in conjunction with addictions. Kim has been the clinical director of Cottonwood for the past ten years supervising both behavioral health and co-occurring clinicians and program coordinators.

Nena Oakes has a Bachelor of Social Work degree and a Master of Social Work degree (clinical practice) from New Mexico Highlands University. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADAC) through the state of NM. Nena has previous work experience in an acute care psychiatric setting (3 years) and in correctional healthcare (1.5 years). She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Nena is also trained in the EMDR Protocol for Recent Critical Incidents (PRECI) & EMDR Group Integrative Treatment Protocol (IGTP). She specializes in working with clients with complex trauma and addictions (co-occurring disorders). Nena is a veteran of the US Army and has worked with Cottonwood for over 7 years.

Alan A. Albo is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC). He holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Applied Behavioral Science. Alan is enthusiastic and deeply committed to providing the best possible services for clients suffering from comorbid disorders involving substance abuse and mental health disorders. For the past 9-years, Alan has worked in all levels of addictions treatment including detox; outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment; and residential treatment settings. In addition to his experience and proficiency in providing addiction and mental health treatment services, Alan is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat the effects of trauma; Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) to assist chronic offenders in overcoming ingrained antisocial cognitive and behavioral traits; and Domestic Violence Offender Treatment Intervention (DVOTI). Alan has also served on the Masada House Board in the capacity of board member and vice-president and taught as an adjunct instructor at San Juan College educating and supporting students pursuing a career in one of the many professions within the Humanities field.

Kenny Dodson is a licensed professional with the state of New Mexico. He specializes in behavior health services to include EMDR, and addictions counseling. He enjoys working with others and believes that strong therapeutic relationships yield the best outcomes in therapy. Kenny really enjoys: laughing, the outdoors, sports, coffee, spending time with family and friends and most importantly his program of recovery.

McKenzie is a Licensed Masters Social Worker and (LMSW) Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC). She specializes in adolescent co-occurring substance use and mental health individual and group therapy. It is her belief that the therapeutic relationship established in a counseling setting is a main priority and factor in the work and growth that is achieved, and therefore works toward fostering this type of alliance. McKenzie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy which she utilizes to treat underlying trauma issues that typically drive unhelpful behaviors. She also incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy into her practice to resolve issues and minimize symptoms by changing self-defeating thoughts, thereby enhancing positive emotions and actions.

Sylvia Marquez has been a LSAA in the state of New Mexico since 2016. Her specialty is in addictions and she plans to encompass mental health as her education progresses. Sylvia graduated from San Juan College with an associate degree in Psychology with presidential, honors and as a member of Psi Beta and Phi Theta Kappa. She received her bachelor’s degree from NMHU in social work as an honors graduate (Summa Cum Laude) and a member of Phi Eta Sigma. Sylvia has first-hand experience with addiction and the detrimental effects it has on the individual, family, and society as a whole. She has a passion for helping people overcome their addictions, and believes that by doing this work she is doing her part to make this a better community.
